RALLY NEWS: John wins first in class in Galway rally

It was a First in class for the John Mulholland Motors Rally Team and their fabulous Ford Ka



John Mulholland and the John Mulholland Motors rally team sped their way to first in their class and 24th overall, last weekend at the Galway International Rally. Driving the latest wide-bodied Ford Ka 1.4 Kit Car John Mulholland and his team beat tough and testing conditions to reach success in the traditional season opener of the Irish Tarmac Cup.



The first outing of John Mulholland’s fabulous ‘Flying Blue Oval’ Ford Ka came with plenty of drama! A heavy overnight frost, and thick freezing fog sent a chill down the spine of the competitors as they raced through the twists and turns of Saturday’s opening rally stages.



It was this hard driving of the Ford Ka 1.4 Kit Car that did the trick and the John Mulholland Motors rally team won first in their class by an astounding by 42 seconds and finished 24th overall. John remarked, “It was a great start to the season and we hope the Ford Ka will continue to be a success.”
