The original Ka caused quite a stir when it first appeared on roads – and new Ka is no exception. Our kinetic Design philosophy has already got glowing reviews from the motoring press. Funky, friendly and fantastic to drive, the new Ka sets a new standard for small cars.



Sweeping lines, chunky proportions and new colours perfectly capture the new Ka’s personality outside. And it’s just as eye-catching inside. A flowing upper instrument panel, two-tone seats and a striking centre console are finished in bold contrasts and expressive colours. It’s deceptively spacious and easily carries four adults with plenty of clever and convenient stowage.



And for the first time, the new Ka has a choice of engines: a 1.2 litre 69 PS Duratec petrol engine or a 1.3 litre 75 PS Duratorq TDCi turbodiesel.

Exterior

Large, swept-back headlights combine with the prominent new grille that almost seems to smile at you, while bold wheel lips, strong shoulders and sweeping lines help give the new Ka a chunky, assured look.

Interior
The new Ka’s interior has a stylish, dynamic design with bold contrasts, expressive colours and imaginative details. Indeed, everything, from the seats to the controls features levels of craftsmanship and finish rarely found in cars this size.

Technology
The new Ka features a brand new six-speaker sound system with a CD player that also reads MP3 files, so you can burn several albums onto one disc and travel light. There’s also a mini jack socket to connect your MP3 player. The optional Advance Music Pack includes a separate amplifier, upgraded speakers and a 100w subwoofer for earth-shaking bass.



The Bluetooth® with hands-free and USB system lets you make, receive or refuse calls using your voice or the steering wheel controls. You can also hold three way conversations with two separate numbers (if your mobile phone permits). Plus, it lets you play music in a variety of formats from a memory stick, iPod or other MP3 player via the USB connection.

Safety
The new Ka features a wealth of safety technology for confident, assured handling in all conditions. There’s a brand new suspension system and anti-lock brakes with electronic brake force distribution come as standard. The new Ka’s outstanding road handling can be further enhanced with the Electronic Stability Programme that prevents slipping and skidding in low-grip conditions. The new Ka also makes tricky hill starts a thing of the past with Hill Launch Assist with Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), which keeps the wheels locked until you apply the accelerator.



The new Ka is built from a lighter, but firmer bodyshell to enhance safety in the event of a crash. It also includes Ford’s renowned Intelligent Protection System – a completely integrated approach to safety. It includes driver and passenger airbags and optional side and curtain airbags. three-point safety belts with pre-tensioners and load limiters plus anti-submarining front seats.
