VRT Rates

The VRT Rate is only applicable to new and used imported cars registered on or after 1st July 2008.

There are seven VRT rates, ranging from 14 per cent to 36 per cent, depending on the car's CO2 emission level, these will be applied to the Open Market Selling Price (OMSP) of the car.
